It seems like it's just a tad bit blurry (focus? slow shutter speed?) but otherwise, it's ace. Adrian @ 11/14/2009 06:30
Yeah, it is a bit blurry. It was right at the long end of my longest lens and I couldn't get it to look sharp. This owl stayed in this spot for more than an hour and I had time to go get my tripod and everything. So, I should have been able to get a sharp shot but it just wasn't happening. I even used the mirror lock on my camera to make sure the image wasn't made blurry by shake due to the mirror flipping up. I wish my camera had a better focus screen to help with manual focus. It seems like most modern DSLRs with AF have a focus screen that is almost completely useless for manual focusing.
Thanks for the comments on the framing. That was something I really worked hard to get right. Colin @ 11/14/2009 12:55
